For electrode applications of Single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) network films in device such as touch panels, organic light-emitting diodes, solar cells, and display, the passivation of the SWCNT film with organic or inorganic materials is also important process to give an environmental stability to the films at high temperature or humidity. However, it was not recognized that the wetting properties of top coating materials on the SWCNT films are also crucial to minimize the sheet resistance increase after top coating with an insulating materials because of the porous network structure of the SWCNT film. Thus, we present that the interfacial tension between the SWCNT network and top coating materials can influence on the porosity of the film or the packing density of the CNTs and the junction resistance across SWCNT bundles, which is an important parameter for the DC conductivity of the SWCNT films. |
