제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Polyimides Having Alkyloxycarbonyl Side Chain
초록 Dialkyl 2,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)terephthalate was designed in order to introduce alkyloxycarbonyl side chain into polymer main chain. Dialkyl 2,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)terephthalate was synthesized from 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalic acid as a starting materials. 2,5-Dihydroxyterephthalic acid was converted into dimethyl 2,5-bis(4-nitrophenoxy)terephthalate by esterification followed by fluorodisplacement reaction with 1-fluoro-4-nitrobenzene. Alkyloxycarbonyl side chain with different length was introduced by transesterification using TsOH as acidic catalyst. The amine monomers with side chain was obtained by the reduction of corresponding dinitro compound. The synthesized diamine monomers were polymerized with commercially available dianhydrides such as PMDA, BTDA, DSDA, ODPA.
The corresponding polyimides were identified by the spectroscopic means. The properties of the obtained polyimides were investigated by TGA, DSC, and WAXS.
