An acrylic resin emulsion was prepared by emulsion polymerzation using acrylic monomers such as methylmethacrylate(MMA), 2-ethyl-hexylacrylate(2EHA), and acrylic acids(AA). A hybrid chitosan acrylic resin emulsion was prepared for comparison. Because chitosan is not soluble in water, but it can easily be dissolved in organic acids. The films were prepared by spreading the emulsions onto teflon plates, and then drying completely at room temperature. The physical properties of films were investigated. |
