Therapeutic Effect of Herbal Honey on Atopic Dermatitis-like Skin Lesions in Animal Model |

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic relapsing inflammatory skin disease that is usually observed in patients with an individual or familial history of atopic diseases, and atotic dermatitis is precipitated by environmental factors, including mite antigens. This study examined to the development of novel medicine for atopic dermatitis treatment using herbal honey. Atopic dermatitis was induced in NC/Nga mice by DNCB. The effect of herbal honey were analyzed by measuring the serum IgE and investigated skin surface using scanning electron microscope. This study was supported by IPET(Korea Institute of planning & Evaluation for Technology in Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries) Research Fund in 2009. |
