An active tip from ionic polymer transducer for a novel thrombolytic treatment |
| 초록 |
Recently, ionic polymer-metal composite (IPMC) have been considered as a smart material from their ability to operate as sensors and actuators. IPMCs actuates when voltage is applied, inducing vibrating motion. Applying this nature, we introduced IPMC in purpose of a novel thrombolysis treatment combining chemical thrombosis and mechanical motion to enhance thrombolytic effect. Two different shapes of IPMCs was investigated for the experiment, and was applied to a continuous-flow phantom model as the vibrator attached to the guide wire tip to demonstrate its effect in thrombosis. |
