Property Analysis of Hydrogels using Chitosan and Pluronic |

Lately, the adhesion formation after surgical is a significant clinical problem within every surgical specialty. To prevent tissue adhesions, many researchers study them. We prepared thermosensitive hydrogel based on chitosan and pluronic for adhesion barrier. The aim of the this study was to examined the preparation and characterization of hydrogel formulation composed of pluronic and chitosan. The physicochemical properties of hydrogel were analyzed by gelation time and temperature, viscosity and rheological measurement. Also, in vitro experiments correspond well with in vivo observations on tissue adhesions. This research was financially supported by the Ministry of Knowledge Economy(MKE), Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology(KIAT) and Honam Leading Industry Office through the Leading Industry Development for Economic Region. |
