Polypyrrole (Ppy) with a characteristic of volume change under electrical stimulus has been extensively studied due to the applications to chemical or bio-sensors, supercapacitor, and actuators. However, up to now, the dimension of Ppy studied in the area of actuations is a relatively large area (at least larger than micrometer scale). In this study, we prepared Ppy thin film with cylindrical nanopores on titanium oxide electrode by using anodic porous alumina membrane as an etching mask and reactive ion etching. The change of nanopores with electric stimulus was measured by atomic force microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy. |
