The effect of raw material characteristics for the mechanical properties of metal/CNT nanocomposites by ball milling process |
초록 |
Metal matrix and carbon nanotube composites (CNTs) have extremely potential in traffic engineering, especially in the automotive industry. CNTs based composite materials have gained a great deal of attention from both scientific and industrial communities owing to CNTs have high electrical conductivity and mechanical properties. The present study explored the successful fabrication of composite materials based on metal particles and CNTs using a ball milling processing with an optimized condition. Various important parameters of a ball milling process have been methodically investigated in order to improve the mechanical properties of the composite materials. The results were analyzed using a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and a field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). After compacting, metal/CNT nanocomposite sintered in a vacuum tube furnace at various sintering conditions. The results show that the increasing both hardness and electrical conductivity. |
