제목 Photoinitiated Polymerization-induced Microphase Separation for the Preparation of Nanoporous Polymer Films
초록 Nanoporoous polymer films derived from microphase-separated block polymer precursors by selective etching of sacrificial components have attracted attention for applications such as lithography and filtration. Particularly for filtration, three-dimensionally (3D) continuous pore structure is important as the structure renders alignment of the pores unnecessary. Here we report facile fabrication of crosslinked block polymer films from a mixture of a monomer, crosslinker, a macro-chain transfer agent, and a photoradical initiator via photoinitiated reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization, which can be readily converted into nanoporous polymer films with percolating nanopores. Photopolymerization kinetics and structure formation via polymerization-induced microphase separation (PIMS) mechanism in comparison with thermally initiated polymerization will be discussed.
