제목 Preparation of Helically Compartmentalized Microcylinders by electrohydrodynamic method
초록 Helical morphology is extraordinarily interesting by itself, and observations of the morphologies, properties and physical and chemical behaviors of helical structures can provide crucial clues to understanding nature’s secrets. However, manufacture of multicompartmental micro building block with spiral patterns is challenging task. In this study, micro building block polymer with helical internal architecture was prepared through the EHD co jetting followed by twisting procedure. Spiral shape could have been controlled by adjusting the twisting process. Helical microcylinders were obtained by cryo-sectioning of microfiber bundles and these microcylinders could be shape-shifted to microspheres which had distinct compartmentalization and unique microstructures. These techniques can provide versatile methods to prepare helical microstructures, and allow extending to mimic biological micro-creatures.
