Hydrogel which was synthesized by natural polysaccharides seem to be suitable materials for various biomedical applications. In this research, we report novel hydrgole derived from sodium alginate (AL) and hyaluronic acid (HA) in series ratios with ionic and covalent crosslink in situ forming. The synthesized hydrogles were characterized by FTIR spectroscopy. Surface morphology, equilibrium swelling and in vitro biodegradation time of hydrogels were also examined. The MTT assay demonstrated that the extract of hydrogels was non-toxic to L929 mouse fibroblasts. Compared with polyurethane (PU), the hydrogels supported blood compatibility through platelet adhesion test and activated partial thrombin time (APTT). In conclusion, these characteristics provide that the HAAL hydrogels may have potential uses in medical applications. |
