제목 Mechanical property, setting time, and In vivo evaluation of calcium phosphate-based bone cements for bone substitute materials
초록 Biocompatibility, bioactivity, and easiness to adapt to the shape of bone cavities and defects are some of the reasons of the increasing interest towards calcium phosphate bone cements (CPCs) for application in both medical and dental surgery. Mixing of a calcium phosphate powder with an aqueous solution leads to the hardening of the cement paste through a low temperature dissolution/precipitation reaction. In this study, initial setting time and compressive strength of CPCs with various compositions were measured. In addition, animal study was performed to investigate the feasibility of calcium phophate-based bone cements as bone substitute materials.
