Organic Optoelectronic Devices (OODs) are currently attracting great attention. To advance OODs for a practical technology, several scientific issues and challenges such as photo induced charge separation, transportation, and collection properties must be overcome. The performance of OODs can be enhanced by introducing conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs) for improving carrier transporting and reducing carrier recombination. Furthermore, some CPEs can be introduced in active layer through self-assembled stacking property instead of additional buffer layer. In this study, OODs were fabricated with self-assembled CPEs in active layer. The CPEs in the fabricated device were distributed bottom of the active layer. The stacked CPEs could be modifying work function and reducing energy barrier between electrode and active layer. As a results, performances of OODs fabricated with CPEs in active layer were enhanced rather than device with buffer layer. |
