Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) have been studied variously due to its advantages. Inverted OPVs introducing metal oxides as electron transporting layer (ETL) can be improved their performance by enhancing carrier injection and extraction. However, these metal oxides have some shortcomings that vacancies on thin film surface can be charge trap site. Conjugated polyelectrolytes (CPEs), which are conjugated polymers including polar side chain, are promising materials in OPVs. Because they can form interfacial dipole between electrode and active layer, it is possible to remove defects on film and adjust energy level alignment inside device. In this study, we fabricated OPVs introducing hybrid ETL using metal oxide and CPEs without additional process. As a results, device performances were enhanced by means of eliminating the traps existing on the ETL thin film and controlling the energy level alignment inside device. |
