Synthesis of CdS/ZnO composite with enhanced photocatalytic activity under visible light radiation. |

In this work, the visible light responsive CdS/ZnO materials were successfully fabricated by a precipitation method for use in photocatalytic degradation of organic dye. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. The prepared samples show the mixed structures containing the ZnO and CdS structures. The absorption spectrum of prepared sample extends to the visible light range. As expected, the photocatalytic performance of the CdS/ZnO revealed improved degradation efficiency compared to pure ZnO sample under visible light radiation. |
