Quantum Dot-Based Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Materials with Optoelectronic Functions |
초록 |
The charge transfer and energy transfer efficiencies between the n-type quantum dots (QDs) and p-type π-conjugated molecules depends on the degree of their spatial proximity and spectral overlap, respectively. Along these lines, we designed and synthesized hybrid nanoparticles consisting of a CdSe/ZnS QD as a core and π-conjugated polythiophenes as well as carbazole as a shell. The nanoscale photoluminescence and molecular optoelectronic properties of hybrids consisting of QDs and π-conjugated molecules could be tuned by their relative distance and the degree of spectral overlap. The novel properties of hybrids consisting of QDs attached to π-conjugated organic molecules can be used new scientific and application fields for molecular electronics and optoelectronics, including luminescent displays and energy harvesting cells. |
