제목 | Modulation of hMSC behaviors on a radially aligned fibrous scaffold with polydopamine coating |
초록 | Cell migration has been studied in tissue engineering because it can be a general way to recruit host cell to a defect region. In this study, we developed radially aligned fibrous scaffold (RAFS)-coated with polydopamine (PD) to regulate hMSC behaviors. RAFS was prepared by electrospinning with new collector, which was subsequently coated by PD. Radial features of the scaffold were determined by SEM and shape of water droplet. PD coating was analyzed by ATR-FTIR and modified-micro BCA assay. As hMSC was cultured on the scaffold, radial feature regulated adherent cell morphology with elongated shape and allowed the cell to migrate toward the core. PD coating increased cell spreading with maintaining cell orientation and promoted migration. Therefore, PD-modified RAFS can be a novel scaffold for tissue engineering.
