제목 Effect of Ratio of Silk with Aiginate Microcapsuleson The Articular Cartilage Tissue Engineering
초록 Abstract: Variety of tissue engineering approaches are motivated by the clinical need for articular repair. In this study, alginate microcapsules containing silk were used in articular cartilage repair. Alginate microcapsules are fabricated by seed chondrocytes into microcapsules containing 0.1, 0.5 and 1% silk. Cell viability was measured via MTT assay. Morphological observation, histology, biological assay for collagen type I, II and aggrecan, and RT- PCR were performed. In result, the cell viability were better 1% silk microcapsules than others silk microcapsules. DMMB results showed that the highest content of GAGs at 1% silk microcapsules. We observed better to keep the characteristic of chondrocytes in the 1% silk microcapsules than others silk microcapsules. This study suggests that 1% silk microcapsules may serve as a potential cell delivery vehicle and a structural basis for tissue engineered articular cartilage.
