Influence of Fluorine Treatment on Electrochemical Performance of Coal Tar Pitch- based Activated Carbons for Supercapacitor |

In this work, we investigated the electrochemical performance of porous coal tar pitch-based activated carbons (C-ACs) by fluorine treatment. The effect of fluorine treatment time on electrochemical performance of the C-ACs was investigated. The textural properties and morphologies of the C-ACs were analyzed by reference to N2/77 K adsorption isotherms and field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), respectively. The electrochemical performance of the C-ACs was confirmed by cyclic voltammograms (CV). As results, the electrochemical performance of fluorine treated C-ACs was higher than that of untreated C-ACs. This was suggested that the fluorine functional groups on the C-ACs led to the combination effect of both electric double-layer capacitor and pseudocapacitance in the present system. |
