Currently, water is considered as importance resource in many industrial fields. Therefore, purification of industrial waste water attracts more interest for both conservation of resources and public health. Photocatalytic decomposition is one of useful phenomena for the effective removal of organic pollutants in waste water. The composites of polymer and carbon nanotube (CNT) were prepared for the carrier of photocatalyst. Nanocomposites of poly(vinyl alcohol)-based water soluble polymer-CNT/photocatalyst were prepared for a novel photocatalytic system for treatment of waste water. To improve the photoelectronic properties of photocatalyst, CNT was used as an additive. The nanocomposite photocatalyst system was efficient in recovery of photocatalyst after completion of wastewater treatment. |
