제목 Biological Evaluation of NIH/3T3 cells on Low Density Polyethylene Film with Corona Treatment
초록 The adhesion and proliferation of cells on polymeric biomaterials depend on the surface characteristics such as wettability, chemistry, charge and roughness. The modified LDPE surfaces were characterized by measuring the static water contact angle. The cells adhered, grown on the microgrooved surfaces were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Microscope. Also the evaluation of mRAN expression of cells contacting with PE film by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis. As the surface wettability increased, that is moderate hydrophobic positions, the number of the cell adhered and proliferated on the surface was increased and specific gene showed maximum expression. In conclusion, this investigation demonstrated that the surface wettability of polymer as the PE film plays an important role for cell adhesion and proliferation behavior for biomedical application.
