제목 Polyester polyol synthesis by alternating copolymerization of proplyene oxide with cyclic acid dianhydrides using double metal cyanide catalyst
초록 Polymerization of propylene oxide (PO) has been carried out by double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst prepared by reacting ZnCl2 and K3[Co(CN)6]2 in the presence of tBuOH as a main complexing agent. This DMC is also used for the ring-opening copolymerization of PO with cyclic acid dianhydrides and pyromellitic dianhydride (PD). In the case of pyromellitic dianhydride, uniform alternating copolymers are produced when the molar ratio of PO to PD in the copolymer approaches to unity. The resultant copolymers are analyzed by 1H NMR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography and viscometry. The -OH value and unsaturation level of the copolymer was also determined.
