제목 Preparation and characterization of sulfonated multi-walled nanotube/ sulfonated poly (vinyl alcohol) composite membrane for direct methanol fuel cells
초록 An organic/inorganic membrane based on sulfonated poly (vinyl alcohol)(s-PVA) and sulfonated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (s-MWNTs) nanocomposite membranes(SPVA) were prepared for use as proton exchange membranes in direct membrane fuel cells (DMFCs) at various compositions. The SPVA membranes were cross-linked with both Grutaraldehyde(GA) and s-MWNTs to reduce the water(methanol) uptake. The unreactive carboxylic acid and sulfuric acid of the s-MWNTs were also cross-linked with the hydroxyl groups of the PVA matrix. The composite membranes exhibited excellent proton conductivities as well as low methanol permeability.
