제목 | Thermal stable binary electrolytes composed of carbonate and ionic liquids for lithium ion batteries |
초록 | Recently, lithium ion batteries (LIBs) have been studied to overcome safety issue owing to the flammable organic electrolytes such as dimethyl carbonate (DMC). In this respect, Ionic liquids (ILs) have been considered as attractive electrolyte candidates due to their non-flammable and non-volatile properties. However, electrolytes as the only ILs could not been applied to the LIBs because of their high viscosity. Accordingly, we expect that the binary electrolytes composed of carbonate and prepared ILs should be overcome to each thermal and physicochemical properties, respectively. In this work, we study the thermal behavior and physicochemical properties of binary electrolytes while change the proportion of prepared ILs and carbonates. In thermal behavior, we make certain that the higher ratio of the ILs have a positive effect on the thermal stability. Among the binary electrolytes, the 6:4 ratio (ILs:carbonate) showed the better properties than the other electrolytes. |
