제목 Characterization and Sustained-Release Formulation of Carvedilol Tablet Prepared by Wet Granulation Method Using Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose
초록 Carvedilol, used in the treatment of hypertension and chronic stable angina, has low solubility, bioavailability and high permeability. In this study, we prepared sustained-release matrix tablet by wet granulation method. The wet granulation tablet was formulated using the excipient and HPMC. Scanning electron microscope was used to confirm the morphology of drug, carrier, excipient, and particles prepared by wet granulation method. Differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction were used to analyze the crystallinity of solid dispersions and wet granulation. Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy was used to analyze the change in chemical structure of solid dispersions and wet granulation. A release behavior of carvedilol was studied at simulated gastric juice (pH 1.2) in vitro.
