Characterization of Biofilms from Car Air Conditioning Systems |
| 초록 |
There are lots of microorganisms on the surface of evaporator which is composed of car air conditioning system and they are mainly existed in the form of bacterial biofilms. Also MVOCs by their metabolism are considered as the main cause of malodors derived from air conditioner. Biofilms are populations of microorganisms which excreate extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) that form a highly hydrated slime and its formation is an important process for microorganisms to survive against environmental conditions. In this study, we investigated biofilms on the surfaces of 5 used car evaporators and characterized them using variety analytical methods such as SEM, FT-IR, CLSM, AFM, and PCR. |
