제목 Highly Reversible Zinc Anode for Aqueous Rechargeable Batteries via Polymer Coating Method
초록 Aqueous zinc (Zn)batteries have attracted enormous interest for energy storage devices due to non-flammableelectrolyte, cost-efficiency, abundant resource, and reversibility. Despitethese advantages in the rechargeable battery, the irregular growth of Zndendrite on the surface is the critical problem to achieve the stablecharge/discharge process in aqueous Zn batteries. Herein, we fabricated ahighly reversible aqueous Zn battery by using poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) coatingto stabilize the Zn surface during the charge/discharge process. The optimized PAAlayer on the surface of Zn can effectively suppress the dendrite formation, andthe backbone of PAA on Zn surface reduced the electrical resistance between theelectrolyte and Zn anode. These properties result in a long cycle life at ahigh current density (1000 hours at 4 mA/cm2). This study indicatesthat the polymer-based coating layers have a high potential for utilizingpractical aqueous Zn batteries.
