In these days, environmental regulations on industrial consumption and development of new eco-friendly materials have been tightened up. Thus, natural products (e.g. vegetable oil), non-toxic and environmental-friendly products, have gained much attention in regard to the development of “green chemicals”. Recently, KRICT research team has been working on the preparation and modification of bio-based monomers and has obtained very positive results. In this study, we attempted to investigate the effects of the addition of various plasticizer obtained from the waste vegetable oil to ethyl cellulose on the mechanical properties of the polymer. |
