제목 The enhancement of the physical properties of EPDM via cross-linking system with peroxide
초록 Rubber gasket is mandatory in Fuel cell system to get the tightness for long term operation. Fluorine rubber (FR), which has the excellent physical properties and high reliability, was mainly used as a fuel cell gasket material. Recently, EPDM as an alternative material to replace for FR is used due to advantages such as good formability and low production cost. But several issues are still remained to apply practically because EPDM has poor thermal properties such as low temperature resistance and heat resisting property. Thus, it is necessary to develop the new EPDM rubber material capable of thin film injection molding and maintaining the elasticity at high temperature for a long period. In this study, we examined to find the optimizing composition with fillers and cross-linking agents for EPDM gasket in fuel cells.
