Carrier gas effect on N2O removal and product formation during mediated reduction by homogenous Ni(I) at ambient temperature electroscrubbing |
초록 |
N2O gas removal at room temperature is still deserved due to lack of reports. Apart from just removal, value added product formation by removal of N2O is highly appropriate. In this investigation, we report an ambient temperature removal of N2O and value added product NH3 formation with different carrier gas. First, [Ni(I)(CN)4]3- (Ni(I)) was generated by paired electrolysis at cathodic half-cell in 10 M KOH solution. The concentration of electrogenerated Ni(I) was derived from potentiometric titration. The electrogenerated Ni(I) circulated vis on the scrubber column to contact N2O (with different carrier gases such as Ar, N2, and Air) for its removal. The N2O removal and product formation were monitored by online FTIR gas analyzer which was attached to the column exit. A suitable carrier gas was identified based on the high NH3 formation and N2O removal. |
