TiO2/WO3 is possible to harvest sunlight and store the photo-generated electrons. The Al2O3-blocking layer was inserted between TiO2 and WO3 layers to prevent electrons stored in WO3 from falling back again. Then, this study used light-charged TiO2/Al2O3/WO3 (TAW) composite-embedded inorganic membrane filter system as a practical method under dark conditions. As effect of Al2O3 insertion, the higher the concentration of Al2O3, the higher the efficiency of Cr(Ⅳ) reduction. As a prior study, a TiO2/WO3-embedded filtration membrane demonstrated As(Ⅲ) oxidation due to the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROSs). Interestingly, It discovered the higher the concentration of inserted Al2O3, the lower the efficiency of As(Ⅲ) oxidation. The low oxidation rate was because charged TAW generated less ROSs than charged TW. Various analyses (SEM, TEM, XPS, ESR) were completed to examine. |
