Recently, phosphorescent iridium complexes have become important emitting-materials for OLEDs because their efficient phosphorescence which originates from strong spin-orbit coupling leads to high internal quantum efficiencies in devices. Based on the earlier observations, we designed an new iridium complexes which contain the main ligands, 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine derivatives and the new ancillary ligands of 2-pyridyltriazolate derivatives. Utilizing the synthesized two biscyclometalated Ir complexes and the new two ancillary ligands four new blue-emitting heteroleptic Iridium (III) complexes were synthesized. Their structures were characterized by 1H- and 13C-NMR and high resolution mass spectroscopy. Their UV-vis and emission spectroscopy and electrochemical studies were investigated. |
