제목 Functionalized graphene quantum dots with hyaluronic acid for cellular imaging and drug delivery
초록 This work demonstrates the way to target specific delivery of graphene quantum dot (GQD) using hyaluronic acid (HA) (GOD-HA) as a targeting agent. HA was anchored to GQD via dopamine hydrochloride (DN), conjugated to HA. X-ray photo electron spectroscopy (XPS) investigation confirms the anchoring of HA-DN to GQD. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observed the particle size near about 20 nm and the fluorescence spectra assured blue color. GQD-HA was applied to CD44 receptor over expressed tumor bearing balb/c mice and the in vivo biodistribution investigation demonstrated strong fluorescence from tumor tissue. In vitro cellular imaging showed the effectiveness of GQD-HA from CD44 over expressed A549 cells. The GQD-HA accumulated hydrophobic drug doxorubicin and released the drug at lower pH. MTT assay strongly supported GQD-HA as biocompatible material.
