Indium-tin-oxide (ITO) functionalized by 3-amino-propyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS) was utilized as a substrate for the 2-dimensional array of Au colloids. In order to increase the coverage of GNPs over the ITO surface, diamine ligands with different chain length were applied to induce the molecular bridging between neighboring gold nanoparticles. The relative contributions including ligand chain length, ligand types and amount were systematically investigated. The surface morphology and optical characteristics of the arrayed GNPs were analyzed by SEM, AFM, contact angle measurements, and UV-vis spectroscopy. |
