Application of nitrated lipid tethered on titanium surface for the intra-vascular implantation |
초록 |
The aim of the present study was to investigate the potential use of tethered lipid bilayer (tLB) membranes containing a nitrated lipid that release nitric oxide (NO) on a titanium surface. The tLB membranes are fabricated via following two steps: 1) immobilization of phospholipids on a metal surface and 2) fusing nitrated lipid bilayer with the pre-tethered phospholipids on the titanium surface. Our data indicated that the tLB membrane was successfully attached on the titanium surface. The tLB membrane not only dramatically reduced the adsorption of non-specific protein binding and but also released NO up to 24 hours. Additionally, NO released from the tLB membrane enhanced the viability of endothelial cells. Synthetically, our results suggest the potential use of newly developed tLB membrane-coated surfaces for vascular devices. |
