Influenza A virus is the most common species among the influenza that spreads rapidly throughout human. Hemaglutinin (HA), protein which is presented on the surface of the virus and invades the host cell, is the important part for the detection of influenza virus. In our research, we demonstrated the detection of H1N1 using the sialic acid receptor, shows selective binding of the influenza A virus, grafted graphene micropattern field-effect transistor biosensor. The glycan-immobilized field effect transistor showed highly sensitive and selective performance to influenza A virus. Especially, 2,6-sialyllactose (6SL) and 2,3-sialyllactose (3SL) distinguished HA molecules between H1N1 (human) and H5N1 (avian). Our sialic acid receptor modified gold electrode is a promising platform to detect severe viruses and bacteria at field diagnosis. |
