제목 A study on the mechanical properties and isothermal crystallization behavior of Poly (butylene terephthalate)(PBT) / urethane modified clay nanocomposites
초록 Poly (butylene terephthalate)(PBT) nanocomposites with various clay type and contents were prepared by in situ polymerization. The effect of the surface urethane modification clay(30BM) about mechanical properties and isothermal crystallization behavior was studied and compared with pristine clay (Na) and alkyl modified clay (30B). PBT/30BM nanocomposites increase remarkable mechanical properties due to enhanced affinity between the clay and PBT matrix. In case of PBT/Na nanocomposites, pristine clay can cause the deterioration of crystallization rate due to steric hinderance of narrow silicate layers. PBT/30BM nanocomposites exhibited the highest crystallization rate among the samples during isothermal crystallization. However, the Avrami exponent (n) of 30B and 30BM nanocomposites showed the decline in the n values in contrast to those of Homo PBT and PBT/Na nanocomposites.
