The use of peptidomimetic materials for antimicrobial agent and molecular binder |

In the first part, I will be presented the use of peptidomimetic molecule for antimicrobial agents. From the observations, it was shown that this molecule can be used to lyse bacterial cells and facilitate the release of intracellular components. Confocal laser scanning microscopy studies represent that lytic peptidomimetic molecules can be penetrated the bacterial membranes and accumulated in the cytosol, followed by killing bacteria. Compared to antibody-based immunoassay, linear peptides have attracted to be effective material for developing new biosensor in clinical applications. In the second part, I will also be presented some of examples of identification and characterization of newly identified peptide binders for the development of electrochemical peptide sensor. |
