제목 | Kinetic modeling and process design of β-Lactone production through epoxide carbonylation with heterogeneous catalyst |
초록 | β-Lactones are valuable molecules because they can be converted to the various materials like PHAs(Polyhydroxyalkanoates), acrylic acid, succinic anhydrides etc. one of them, PHAs has attracted attention as biodegradable plastic materials, because of their inherent biodegradability and excellent biocompatibility. so the production of β-Lactones which are critical intermediates of PHAs need to be studied. β-Lactones can be produced from ring-opening epoxide carbonylation with [Lewis acid][Co(CO)4] catalyst. however, to produce β-Lactones in industrial scales, the reaction kinetic and process design are necessary. Herein, I suggest four kinetic models based on Langmuir–Hinshelwood–Hougen–Watson(LHHW) and Eley-Rideal(ER) models in heterogeneous catalytic reaction. the parameters of models are estimated from Levenberg-Marquardt curve-fitting with batch reactor experimental data. the process design of β-Lactone production is also suggested with sensitivity analysis. |
