Light Emitting Electrochemical Cells using Cationic Iridium(III) Complexes with Imidazole-based Ancillary Ligand |
| 초록 |
Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) are the electroluminescent devices which produce light under the application of an electric field. The luminescent materials generally used for the fabrication of LECs are cationic iridium complexes which received increasing attention in display and lighting devices which exhibits high luminescence and efficiency. Herein, we have synthesized new cationic iridium complexes which are [Ir(ppy)2(Hpyim)]PF6 and [Ir(dfppy)2(Hpyim)]PF6 and characterized by various photophysical and electrochemical methods. LECs were fabricated using the synthesized cationic iridium complexes and their electrical properties such as luminance, current density and efficiency were measured and compared. |
