Light-assisted programing in organic field-effect transistor memories based on spirotype compounds |

In this work, we prepared a new photosensitive polymer electret material toward the fabrication of transistor memory, and demonstrated its improved charge trapping properties under light illumination by analyzing the electronic structures at the organic semiconductor/electret interfaces. Because of photochromic conversion of spiropyran group, our material could change its molecular conformation and dipole moment, leading to easy electron trapping. The transistor memory showed enlarged hysteresis under white-light exposure and exhibited bi-stable current states after the programing and erasing processes, and each state sustained its current over 10000 s. |
