제목 | Effects of a dry Ar plasma treatment on the optical and electrical properties of transparent silver nanowire electrodes |
초록 | In recent years, metallic nano-materials have drawn a lot of attention due to their unusual physical and chemical properties, which largely differ from their bulk properties [1,2]. Among various metals, Silver materials with zero-, one-, or two-dimensional nanostructures such as nanoparticles, nanowires, and nanoplates are believed to have great potential for applications in various engineering fields [3]. However, in case of silver nanowires (AgNWs), its surface can be covered with a thin polymer such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) during the synthesis process. As a result, a huge contact resistance can be developed between the nanowires decreasing the film conductivity [4]. To solve this issue, we used a dry-type Ar plasma treatment for the removal of PVP layers. It was found that the sheet resistance of the transparent electrodes was decreased and also the optical transmittance was improved. Here, details of experimental procedures and results are discussed.
