A compatibility study of coal gasification for Coal-to-SNG has been performed in this work. SNG production from low rank coal is one of the attractive fuel conversion process in terms of clean energy. Recently, increase of energy price has led to an interest in SNG. Several projects of SNG has been planned and operating in China and Korea. This study evaluated the techno-economics of coal gasification process to produce SNG. Shell and Siemens types of gasifier have been estimated to develop 500MW-scale plant with latter process of SNG production. This study will contribute to a guideline for feasibility study and industrial application of SNG production plant. |
