Microplastics (MPs) are pollutants generated by plastics ≤ 5mm and are existent in marine and terrestrial environments. The detection of microplastics and nanoplastics in the environment, especially plastic particles in aquatic environments, still faces confronts due to the restrictions of current methods, instruments, and limited sensitivity. In this work we have developed mesoporous titania and also corresponded with thermal evaporated gold on a thin film, which can be used as nano-antenna to enhance Raman and FTIR signals. The results revealed that Raman and FTIR spectroscopy (SEIRA: surface enhanced infrared adsorption spectroscopy, SERS: surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy) has shown manifestation of the microplastic detection even at the low concentration of the Polystyrene (PS) with surface enhancement peaks. |
