제목 Synthesis of biodiesel from esterification of oleic acid using heterogeneous bismuth molybdate oxidecatalyst
초록 Fossil fuel resources are decreasing continuously. In recent years, biodiesel has attracted much attention as an alternative for diesel fuel. In this study, bismuth molybdate oxide(BMO) catalyst was utilized for esterification of oleic acid to prepare biodiesel. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), fourier transform Infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), and the yield of fatty acid methyl ester(FAME) was analyzed by Gas chromatography(GC). The reactions were carried out using conventional or microwave heating method, and the reactions were also done in stirred autoclave reactor. Compared to different methods, microwave heating method was found to be more effective.
