제목 Effect of reaction temperature and promoter on production of middle distillate range hydrocarbons through Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over Fe-based alumina catalysts
초록 Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was studied over Fe-based alumina bead catalysts to investigate the effect of the reaction temperature and promoter on the production of middle distillate range hydrocarbons. The FTS was conducted in a downdraft continuous fixed-bed reactor under a pressure of 15 atm at a temperature range of 270-330 oC. Potassium showed the better catalytic performance in the FTS reaction than copper. The addition of Mn into Fe-Cu or K-based alumina bead catalysts enhanced the CO conversion remarkably. Furthermore, CO conversion gradually increased with the increase of the reaction temperature. The optimum Mn loading for high selectivity of middle distillate range hydrocarbons was in the range of 3 – 5 wt.%.
