A sequence of multi-walled carbon nanotube-carbon fabrics composites were manufactured using was fabricated using a facile dip coating process. The following properties such as electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness, thermal stability, electrical conductivity and tensile strength were explored. A MWCNT oxide dispersed water solution was used in the coating process for which and sodiumdodecyl sulfate used as the dispersant. In addition, the pores of the carbon fabric filled by MWCNTs and increased the size of carbon fiber. The composite exhibit excellent electric conductivity of 16.42 Scm-1. The single layer of C/C composite exhibited 37 dB of EMI shielding whereas double layer blocked about 99.999% of incident radiation in S-band region. The specific SE of composite was 486.54 dB cm3 g-1 while absolute SE (SSE/t) of about 35,000 dB cm2 g-1. The above results indicate that composites possess various application areas such as automobile, aerospace and electronic devices. |
