제목 Preparation and Characterization of Mesoporous Silica/MWCNTs Nanocomposites Impregnated with Polyethyleneimine for CO2 Adsorption
초록 In this work, amine-loaded mesoporous silica/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for CO2 capture from flue gas condition are created using a hydrolysis of TEOS onto MWCNTs and subsequent impregnation of polyethyleneimine (PEI). A suitable amount of polyethyleneimine was found to be 50 wt.% in ethanol with an infusion time of 3 h. From TEM analysis, it can be seen that the MWCNTs were successfully coated with mesoporous silica and impregnated with PEI. The results on CO2 adsorption experiments from flue gas condition showed better CO2 adsorption capacities and cycle stabilities than those of mesoporous silica impregnated with PEI. These results suggest that synergistic effects were made from silica/carbon/polymer composite for improving CO2 adsorption performance, proposing possibilities of new nanomaterials.
