Three-dimensional (3D) printing is a technique for constructing a 3D object in a digitally defined way. Various 3D printing technologies have been developed, including light-, ink-, and other stimulus-based 3D printing techniques. Among them, ink-based 3D printing technology has garnered much attention due to its material flexibility, simple process, and low cost. However, colloidal ink for the ink 3D writing process must satisfy the viscoelastic rheological properties. So far, to impart the viscoelastic rheological properties, polymer-based viscosifiers have been added to the ink which remains in the final object, deteriorating the functionality of the printed inorganic materials. Here, we introduce a universal organic-free and microscale 3D printing method. By directly printing nanocrystals(NC) ink into a flocculation bath, extruded NCs instantly form a solid network. This process can built complex 3D architectures with preserved the original functionality of NCs. |
