제목 Effect of Chitosan-derived Nitrogen-doped Carbon on Na3V2(PO4)3 Cathode for Rechargeable Sodium-ion Batteries
초록 The sodium super ionic conductor (NASICON) type Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) has been a very impressive and popular candidate among different cathodes for sodium-ion batteries. Herein, we report the modification of NVP surface with nitrogen-doped carbon (NC) derived from the natural polymer chitosan. The nitrogen doped carbon coated Na3V2(PO4)3 microspheres (NC/NVP-MS) have been successfully synthesized by a facile solution evaporation method. The NC/NVP-MS presents an overall enhancement in the electrochemical performance than the bare Na3V2(PO4)3 microspheres due to the effect of improved conductivity as well as the the NC protection layer against the surface side reactions from electrolyte decomposition.
